Real answer to this: back when I was interviewing with Ubisoft and the recruiter had asked me I was a "three seas" designer and I had no idea what she meant and just flubbed around it
She said 3C's and it's an Ubisoft-specific term that's very useful. Basically means game feel.
3C's stands for Character, Camera, and Controls, which are extremely important in action games. I came from Insomniac which on hindsight is hugely 3C's focused (think: traversal and combat) but just doesn't use that terminology at all.
Now I find the phrase so useful I wish it were an industry standard term (though I gather former Ubisoft employees have been pollinating other studios with it over time)
One reason the term is useful for me is because I can say to coworkers "I am the OPPOSITE of a 3C's designer" and they understand me and I escape the trap of being responsible for designs I am terrible at without trying to explain that weird space of simulation-y systems design.
One day I will have a word for what I do but until then I will continue to define myself as the absence of something else.
