2/ "the British Parliament has already approved the law that enshrines the rights of European citizens living in the United Kingdom on 29 March this year, in accordance with the terms agreed and set out in the exit [EU/UK] agreement” @Jeremy_Hunt hunt claims in Portugal.
4/ "[...] in accordance with the terms agreed and set out in the exit agreement” @Jeremy_Hunt claims. That is not what the UK Govt plans in a no-deal Brexit: Shortened application period, reduced family reunion rights are just 2 areas they want to change.
3/ "the British Parliament has already approved the law that enshrines the rights" @Jeremy_Hunt claims. One look at the UK Govt webpage reveals though that Settled Status has not been legislated: "[...] is still subject to approval by Parliament"
5/ And nothing has been agreed by UK Parliament. The opposite is happening. UK Govt is pushing through the Immigration Bill that will remove our #citizensrights without providing a status until the 3.6m EU citizens have successfully applied for Settled Status in case of no deal
6/ EU27 Govts should question everything UK officials tell them in regards of #citizensrights of their citizens in the UK. Not everything mirrors reality.
Yes, @number10gov, we are reading foreign press. In the same way EU27 Govts read the British press. Stay truthful!
